My daughter is allergic to milk/dairy and had some similar problems
although not as extreme. I breastfed and cut dairy out of my diet
because she seemed less gassy, irritable without it. Then I tried
weaning her to milk formula when she was 7 months -- my
pediatrician was not as concerned about the milk allergy as I was so I
went with his advice. After a week her poops turned green, soft,
weird smelling and had strings of mucous in them. Ends up she IS
allergic to milk (and eggs). I actually suspect other allergies that we
haven't discovered yet. Oh, eczema also is a sign of allergies.
Anyway, consider taking her to an allergist for testing. Don't let your
pediatrician tell you your child is too young for testing.
