A couple French comedies I have seen recently are Le Placard (The Closet), and The Dinner Game. Also an animiation, The Triplets of Belleville. I also really liked Jean de Florette and Manon of Spring.

Some Chinese films (I think these are all Chinese, but it has been awhile since I've seen them.)

The Scent of Green Papaya

I just checked out Babette's Feast, a Danish film, at the library so hopefully it is good. :)
