Hi!!
I am a Mexican student who just moved to London to do a Masters Degree. I also decided that this new stage of my life would be the perfect opportunity to do something I've been wanting to do for a long time: become a vegetarian or even vegan. However, it seems like all odds are against me:
1. I've always been thin and not because I do diets or exercise, my body has difficulty processing nutrients so I'm very prone to anemia, and I'm afraid if I don't eat the right vegetarian diet I will be missing on some very important nutrients.
2. In my 26 years of life, if I can count the times I've actually cooked, I would only need the 5 fingers on one hand. I HATE cooking and, as a consequence, I'm really bad at it.
3. London is EXTREMELY expensive. I already have a hard time managing my budget while going for the cheapest foods possible, and I know a lot of vegan ingredients are considered 'gourmet' and thus more costly.
I am wondering if anybody has been in my situation and if so, I would love to get some advice on how to handle these obstacles because I am an animal lover and I really want to stop contributing to the cruel meat industry.
Thank you all so much in advance.
