I find it hard to believe that your protein was so
low that you got sick-- I don't think you were
getting good advice. It is not difficult to get
enough protein even on a raw vegan diet (I am not a
raw vegan, BTW). I recommend reading "Becoming
Vegetarian" and "Becoming Vegan" by registered
dietitians Vesanto Melina and Brenda Davis, and the
new book "Vegan for Life: Everything You Need to
Know to Be Healthy and Fit on a Plant-Based Diet" by
registered dietitians jack Norris and Ginny Messina.
