I am attempting to switch to a vegan lifestyle. I have tried before, with no success....I think my downfall was the lack of satiety with vegan food, and I don't care for many of the substitutes, such as soy. I also cannot seem to let go of cheese! I have read Colin Campbell's China Study and that floored me in regards to what he found. I have also read Michael Pollan's In Defense of Food, and have started reading Becoming Vegan by Melina. I am also about 150 lbs overweight, and have tried every diet in the book, including considering weight loss surgery. So, as you can see I am a bit of a mess :) The more I read about the benefits of a vegan lifestyle, and how it is based on solid science, the more compelling it is to move into that lifestyle. Any suggestions for assistance with this transition would be welcome!
