Thank you for the information! When I Googled "child won't eat meat" I found out a lot of kids are like this. But almost all those websites were ways to trick children into eating hidden meat. Like I mentioned, my daughter's objection is due to an ethical/emotioal position she's formed and I do want to respect that and I think tricking her would be callous. I might be more predisposition to being open minded to vegetarian diets I suppose since I have a vegan friend. That and like I mentioned I am not a big "meat eater" myself. just don't take my potatoes and watermelon away and no one gets hurt, lol.
By the way, I loved the broccoli article because that's one food she "hates" (well, unless my mom makes it for her... which I don't understand). Broccoli is also my favorite vegetable by far and I ate a lot of it when pregnant (so I joke that's why my daughter doesn't like broccoli now).
I have found if I have my daughter help me cook dinner, she's more included to eat it. Last night I made "green beans and potatoes" with cornbread and she ate everything because she helped cook it. That's a modification of a family recipe (usually you put a hambone and ham in the mix... I used a gravy browner I have called "Kitchen Bouquet" to flavor things).
I am going to look up those books on Amazon now. Thank you again!
