You need to be eating more whole grains, plus beans,
maybe tofu, etc., not just fruits and veggies. And,
if you are very active, some nuts, seeds, nut
butter, etc. You aren't eating enough, that's the
long and short of it. And why get protein from
expensive, yucky-tasting protein powders, when you
can get it from beans, grains, nuts and seeds, and
soyfoods that taste good and are relatively
inexpensive?
IDEAS FOR PLANNING A BETTER VEGAN DIET
Here are some ideas for planning a better diet
written by Ginny (Virginia) Messina, RD (registered

I urge you to read the books “Becoming Vegetarian”
and “Becoming Vegan” by vegan registered dieticians
Vesanto Melina, Brenda Davis and Victoria Harrison.
(Your library may be able to get books for you
through inter-library loans if they do not have
them.)
