there can be many reasons for not being able to sleep- - too much caffeine in the afternoon or evening; stress; menopause or peri-menopause; whether; lack of exercise, etc. I doubt that this soy is the reason. (In fact, soy and other sources of plant estrogens have been shown to help menopausal women sleep!) Many people have a poor understanding of plant estrogens, which are very weak compared to human estrogens, and also assume that they are only found in soy.
