Eating too much dairy and eggs might be raising your cholesterol level, and concentrating too much on protein may be lowering your energy. You need complex carbohydrates for energy! Carbohydrates fuel our bodies. You probably need to add more whole grains, fruits and veggies to your diet. And you can eat lots of them!
If you look at this vegetarian Diet Pyramid,

you see that the bulk of your food should be fruits, veggies, legumes and whole grains.
the same with a vegan diet:

There is no nutrient you need that cannot be supplied in a vegetarian diet, but I have seen many vegetarians freak out about protein and neglect the rest of their diet!
Check out the link at the bottom of this post, a page from my website that covers the essentials that vegetarians and vegans worry about.
