It is 1800 watts, so it gets pretty hot, and it has
more space than the Cuisinart Griddler. It has removable plates and the top plate can be raised and
lowered.

There may be other new ones out there I don't know
about. This is a mid-priced grill.

There are a number of indoor grilling cookbooks-- you
could check them out at your library.
