WOW, what a load to carry! Don't know how hard, how long or how expensive it is to get your kids tested, but maybe a Kidney Foundation of some time would help. If you can't get support from your husband, you will have a hard time of it, but the teen is going to be the key.

Are there some websites about dialysis you can find? I know that it would SERIOUSLY cut into a teen's social life. Maybe seeing what life is like with dialysis would trigger him/her to say to Dad - you can ruin your life, but not mine! Little Kids will probably go with anything you give them if you can at least get Dad to not make negative noises about the food.

Hang in there. And maybe your husband's doctor will decide to retire!
