thanks so much for the suggestions. I didn't actually use any of your recipes but it got me thinking. we were serving baked butternut squash as a side dish, so i just took the bulb and stuffed it with a slight variation on the stuffing i used for the rest of the dinner (adding chopped toasted walnuts and apples we picked in the fall). i'm definately feeling stuffed myself today! i may have to take a day off of food after last night. :)
