You get too many of those this time of year I reckon. Anyway, I'm at my parents house and want to make a roast but they don't have loaf pans but they DO have ceramic baking pans. I tried to make the roast a year ago in the ceramic baking pot and I got soggy salty bread- in otherwords, 325deg was too high. Should I attempt it again but turn the temp down a bit? Should i try it at 275 or 300? I don't want a fail again! Or should I just go out and buy some loaf pans since I had success with that when I went with that method. I guess it could be that their oven is too hot, but they don't have a thermometer, and I'm not sure they'd care to have one and I already have one at home. Its a newish oven though. Well maybe I'll get them one for xmas. Anyway...thanks! Its nice to pop back in (I used to come by back in the day occasionally).
