Now I know why I didn't save the recipe. I haven't seen the real thing for years so I'm not exactly sure what it's supposed to come out like and I can't use the recipe as is because...
I'm in Australia where the only non-hydrogenated, non-dairy margarine is *very* expensive and, where I live, very hard to come by. Also I'm not too big a fan of protein isolate so I would have to go out of my way to get some and, given that I want to make a healthy treat, this would, in my opinion, somewhat defeat my purpose.
So, is there an easy sub for the marg? I make my own 'butter' spread by whipping oil into soy milk mayonnaise style when we're feeling decadent and I'm wondering if that would work?
As for the isolate, I could get some if I have to but would extra powdered soy milk work or is there another, preferably less refined, alternative?
Sorry to be a pain, but you can always ignore me if it's too much of a bother.
