Some people (my husband for one) don't care for tempeh. It is a fermented product, so that might put some people off. It is best if you simmerit in veggie broth for 5 minutes or so. Most people like it fried, and that is the way it is often served in Indonesia, where it originated. Sticks of slices of simmered or steamed tempeh can be breaded or battered and fried crispy, then served with a piquant sauce.
