I love that you came right out and said it! I've been eating low-fat, raw vegan for about 4 months now, but it has nothing to do with animal rights, ntural hygene, or whatever. I'm eating this way because I like the food and want to be healthy. So far, I've lost over 20 pounds, lowered my blood pressure, and brought my FBG and A1C levels back into the normal range. All good things. For years I had a little hobby farm and raised my own food, including meat and dairy. Even though I'm not eating these foods now, I don't feel the need to demonize them. They just don't fit my needs these days. Maybe the question is, Is a vegan what you eat, or is a vegan who you are? Can I be a vegan without embracing PETA? I sure hope so!!
