I think you might try using a different reasoning with your daughter. Those videos never bothered me as a teenager, but I was very concerned about the enviroment and the amount of pollution created by the meat industry. Also: it doesn't have to be an all-or-nothing thing. Maybe your teen daughter would be OK with not eating meat at home, and when she goes out to a friend's it's her decision. Or a compromise: no meat, but a certain number of eggs per week. I don't think it's bad to use up the meat in your freezer. Another idea: give it to a friend and tell them you are going veg (and why, if they ask). I did that, and now my friend is trying to reduce his meat consumption.
