My son, now 23 months, was diagnosed at 11 months with B12 deficiency. He started having projectile vomiting at 5 months and stopped rolling over, thus placed on Zantac. He also had low muscle tone, and he would not take a bottle and it was extremely difficult to get him to take solids due to the low muscle tone.

By the first B12 injection there was noticeable improvements. He only had five shots (as did I) within 2 weeks time period and then once eating and taking solids on his own was maintaining his B12 levels. He started walking at 18 months and is progressing in motor skills. His fine motor skills are pretty much on track, however his speech and cognitive skills are behind.

Would love to hear from any others with children who were diagnosed with this rare B12 deficiency.
