You're not the only one, I feel the same way and so do thousands of other people. I say thousands because the vast majority of people do not see what goes on under their noses and make no connection between what you saw and the "food" on their plates. We live in a terribly imperfect world, and I don't know if we will even survive the devastation that the human ego has caused in our ruthless exploitation of other beings and everything on the planet.

At least there is some comfort in knowing there are like-minded individuals out there and you can do your part by not supporting those industries that are so brutal and callous.
