So - I turned in a letter of protest, laying out my position to both my professor and the Dean of Sciences. I was told that I would be given credit for the days the dissection is being done, and that I would be allowed to take the quiz on the dissection. While I am not able to use the college's alternative computer program, at least I made my point well enough to get what i desired. So... a victory of sorts. I've also distributed my letter to any other student who had the same objections I did (which only amounted to 2 other kids, but still... for principle). Thanks for all your support, everyone!! I really appreciate your words and thoughts. You know, it's funny, because I thought that I'd feel so much more... fulfilled at having actually made something of a difference, but mostly I'm just worried about how well I'll do on that quiz.... heh. Michael PS = If you'd like to read the letter, I've posted it here. It's the one labeled "Letter of Protest"
