I have an 11 year old boy who has never eaten meat. From the time he was a toddler experimenting with new food, meat was the one thing he would not eat. In fact, he gagged on it. He couldn't get it down. I never made an issue of it because I feel a body's natural reaction is something to be heeded. He would also gag on eggs. He later developed a lactose intolerance. I've learned to supplement his diet- he's healthy and happy (and handsome). I was just wondering if anybody has ever heard of an 'animal protein' intolerance or something. Maybe there is a certain reason that makes him gag on anything animal related. Even the SMELL of raw meat makes him physically ill. It's unreal! I have looked all over for some answer and I've come up with nothing. I always joke that he would break out in hives if he wore a leather jacket- then I stop and wonder if that wouldn't happen! lol
