Very heartwarming story - Thank you!

And congratulations on finding the path! However, it is very important to get proper nutrition. Luckily, it turns out that the foods you have chosen (veggies, fruits and nuts) are very nearly optimal (you do need to add some beans). I highly recommend reading the book "Eat to Live" by Joel Fuhrman MD. He is a doctor who specializes in plant-based nutrition and eating for optimal health. In the book he spells out the optimal diet for human health: Lots and lots of raw and cooked veggies, fruits and beans, combined with limited amounts of whole nuts and grains. All animal and processed foods should be avoided as much as possible. Read the review of the book here at VegSource. This way of eating will also cure what ails you. In my case, "eating to live" has eliminated my lifelong asthma and has enabled me to get off my anti-depression medication. It just makes sense - You are what you eat, so eat happy foods!

And welcome to the wonderful world of harmless eating!
