You know, in the Bible it also says (in 1st Timothy) not to follow doctrines that order you to abstain from certain foods. To boot, the Levitical priests (who for the most part not allowed to work normal jobs, but in the Temple) diet consisted mostly of the meat and bread offerings (and you know there were alot). So while the Bible says to abstain from violence, there is alot of meat eating in it. It makes one wonder. As for me, I got to have me a *homeade* burger (we raise our own cows and goats and have one killed for the freezer about every 4 or 5 years) every once in a while. And also, I believe that most of the obesity in America is due to all of those supersized meals we eat... After all, a surplus of calories (no matter what food it is) will turn into fat every time.
