Hey Lisa. I understand how you feel completly. Just last week I opened my eyeys to what is happening in the meat industry. It's not that I did'nt have a clue, my fiance is a vegetarian. I just did'nt want to know that theses cruel things were happening, and that I was contributing to this. After going on a vegan website, just like you it made my stomach hurt to see all of these animals. All at once I stopped eating meat and dairy. It gets hard sometimes when I can't find something to eat out, but I look at the big picture and realize that I am doing good. Please hang in there and know that you have to lead by example. I think that's some of the best advice I've gotten since going vegan. People look at you and realize that there should not be a stereotype vegan. If you don't preach at them, which is so hard to do, and realize that they have yet to wake up, you will be doing us all a favor. I still have'nt told alot of my family. They don't seem to be very openminded about these things. But once I am certain that this isn't one of in the moment things, they will hear of my new lifestyle.Lisa, good luck on everything, and I know a few recepies that will have a meat eater eating vegan. If you need an ear just write. best wishes Ashley(19)
