i'm 14 and i became a vegitarian. it's extremly hard, but it's very do-able. First step: go to www.peta.com, peta2.com, goveg.com, or milksucks.com. There's some extremly good videos there. Second step: get rid of all the meat and dairy products in your house and DO NOT buy anymore. Then go to your nearest health store and buy what you need. If you're tight on money, there's some substitute (fake) meat, ice cream, cheese, milk, etc. at Wal Mart. Yeah, they do have everything.
If you can't throw out the animal carcasses and related foods, then just buy some of your substitute food and put it in the fridge.
I have those sudden cravings, and what i do is slice an apple and drizzle honey over it (chocolate syrup worx 2). If you go with the honey, you can spritz a lil bit of orange juice over it all for a lil twist of vitamin C.
And for your family, tell them that what they're eating is what's causing the leading diseases and illnesses such as obesity, breast cancer and osteoprosis. For their religion (if they're Christian too), it says in the Bible not to kill. Eating meat is like asking people to murder for them. Disgusting.
If you have any questions or just want to talk, i'm here. I went thru the same things (still am), and i have high school tauntings too.
