Here is a link to the full text of "The Gospel of the Holy Twelve" that Cecilia mentioned. Although I now follow a Buddhist path, I used to be a Christian. I have read parts of the "Holy Twelve" gospel and in my mind this version rings much fuller and truer than the King James version. Its definitely worth taking a look at. I like to think that Jesus was kind, loving and infinitely compassionate towards all of God's creatures and would never kill an animal to eat it.
