After reading information about the animal food industry, something within me changed. I can't bring myself to eat meat any longer and that is a major change as I am an avid cook. Going vegan is a bit harder for me as I enjoy eggs (and do not consider them "living" as they were unfertilized. I also read that shellfish--oysters, clams, etc-lack the central nervous system to feel/process pain and emotion so I don't feel opposed to consuming them.) My question to you all is: How many of you rely on processed vegan products and are you concerned about the artificial ingredients in them? Secondly, I'd like to hear if anyone has an opinion on why it is better to be vegan (for ethical reasons). I'm open to understanding more. Thanks.
