Another book that I've only just found is "The Gospel of the Holy Twelve" written by SG Ouseley, an Irish Reverend from an ancient aramic text, where Jesus is depicted as a strict vegetarian and animal defenser. Here are a few excerpts: "Verily I say to you, for this very end have I come into the world, that I may put away all blood offerings and the eating of the flesh of the beasts and birds that are slain by men." I bought it from the following Canadian bookshop in Paris: Abbey Bookshop, email address: abbeybookshop@wanadoo.fr. Hope it helps!
