I've lived a fairly decadent lifestyle for the last ten years and have done some pretty bad stuff to my system in the process. But, I'm turning thirty soon, and feel the need to get my health and habits on track, and need something to make a drastic life change in order to stick with it...so I've chosen vegetarianism (lacto-ovo) for now, possibly will move on to Vegan in the future.

I have reached the point in my life where I am the second heaviest I have EVER been, 196lbs, and have a developing beer gut.

My question - will going veg be enough to produce some noticeable weight loss soon? Can I add diet pills (AKA Trimspa) to the mix? How quickly will I start to look & feel better?

I have already read a "going veg" book (thoroughly enjoyed it, couldn't believe how much info was in it), so some practical advice from others that have possibly been in the same situation would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks -

EMR
