I have considered becoming vegetarian for about a year, but not really for any philosophical reasons. Basically meat makes me feel ill when I eat it,and I get really constipated. I have no idea why that is , I just know what my body does. The problem is, I have a very strong faith in God and Jesus Christ, and I feeling a little nervous of the culture that seems to surround being vegetarian. Alot of folks seem pretty unconventional, and I must confess, that it is a little intimidating.I want to participate also because the thought of causing suffering to one of God's creatures is an anathema to me. I find that very offensive. It also seems that vegetarians become targeted alot and insulted for their choice. Is there such a thing as a closet vegetarian? I feel like I have to explain why, or defend the choice. Why is this?
