There are lots of manmade fabrics/yarns not made from wool -- just check labels. Wool is scratchy anyway, and shrinks, I have never liked it, even before I was vegan.

You can get a complete product list from PETA for products that are tested on animals or contain animal products. I don't use regular drugstore shampoos and such anyway, the first ingredient in them is usually sodium lauryl sulfate which is not something that is good for you or your skin and body -- I use Aubrey products which I get at the local HFS. They have a blue chamomile shampoo that is wonderful, the products are all natural herbs, no chemicals whatsoever and no animal testing of course.
