Subject: After my first full week of vegetarianism

I get grossed out by raw meat. Which is funny, because even though it's always "kinda creeped me out", I used to be a part time butcher a long time ago!

I don't know any other vegetarians in person, and all the people in my life have no intention of converting. I've also found that a lot of people are very unaccepting of my decision, and feel somewhat threatened by it. I never thought that me being vegetarian would cause people to dislike me, but it has to some point. Apparently people who "don't believe in it" feel threatened, and think to be vegetarian you either need to be gay or crazy. Which I'm neither, as far as I know :)

But I've said, time and again, It's one of the best decisions I've made in my life. My family tree is plagued by cancers and heart diseases and obesity....... I honestly feel like I have a chance to save myself from that fate. And, I feel healthier than ever lately. Nay sayers say that you can't have energy if you dont eat meat... I've personally proved them completely wrong, because here, a week later, I am BURSTING with energy. I feel great, healthy, and strong.

I need to be able to ramble on about this, because I don't know any other vegetarians.... and, well, it's like this miraculous transformation, and I have no one to share it with.
