Hi everyone!
I also enjoy being able to read from this website, so I don't feel so alone. With the exception of my husband, I do not know any other vegans or vegetarians. It is maddening to hear people speak of their "love for animals" (my own mother included), but they do not hesitate to eat them. I will even admit that I would not feel any sympathy for a human who contracted a food borne illness from eating dead animals. (E-coli, mad cow disease, SARS, etc.)
