I wish everybody could have the same kinds of realizations that others have had who have listed on this board, from reading it I know that I am not alone in my own realizations. I feel sometimes like I live on another planet foreign to my spirit, living in a world where people mindlessly buy and eat the flesh of other beings without any thought at all as to where that flesh came from.

I live in a small town that has a highway running through it, it is a main thoroughfare for cattle trucks. When I drive to the store, go for a walk, it is a constant reminder, I see them all the time, my heart is in pain for those innocent animals, and yet those around me are blind to the suffering. It is good to know I'm not the only one to see this and to feel it and to do something about it in my/their own life.

I do not buy meat, do not cook it for my husband, he buys those tv dinner things and I guess he eats whatever he wants in restaurants. But my daughter is vegetarian and my foster daughter also and my mother doesn't eat meat, she drinks soy milk, but once in a while she eats fish sandwiches which bugs me because she tells other people they shouldn't eat meat and hypocrisy really bugs me. But I guess all things in due time, at least she's kind of there.

Thanks to everybody for making me feel like I'm not the only one on the planet that sees the absurdities.
