Subject: Non-meat foods with animal used...
Date: January 28, 2003 at 4:25 pm PST

Hello, I am not quite a 'veggie' or vegan myself, but I do try to limit my consumption of other animals. For this reason I have benn wondering: how many products that are not directly meat require the deaths of animals? for example, I have heard that most mints contain some kind of animal product... which got me to wondering how many other things contain part of some animal. I really wonder about things like chips and other snack foods...

Also, I have heard that in some dairy products they use either some cow fat or other part of the animal, is this true?

Thanks in advance for your help.
