Hello, I cannot say that I ever awakened.
I was born a (lacto-ovo-pesto) vegitarian. My mother was a vegirtarian when she was pregnant with me, even. I do not believe in classifying myself, however. In truth, though, I have eaten meat in basic training (since I am in the Army)... in BT you have no other choice. I abhor meat through. Yes, I do believe in philosophical and spiritual ideals which advocate such a lifestyle. (simply, I had made the choice before this birth and thus chose to be born unto a vegitarian mother and family). In my experience (but note I hardly have reference point), Animals are more attracted to vegitarians, vegitarians can think more clearly and are more intelligent (note, many, if not most geniuses and atrists in history were vegitarian)... Probably can feel emotions more deeply and extensively. My reasoning on which I base this hyposthesis is primarily my own experience with having tansmuted all my sexual drive and energy into spiritual drive and energy. The former, you see, is hormonal in nature and is reinforced though other biochemical endorphins in the brain. I think this clouds thinking and emotional states. when you meat meat, you are essentially ingesting the blood of the animal, and included in it, all its hormones (including all those artificial hormones that processed meat has added). You could say, it evokes a sort of primitive lust.
