Hey Fi,

Get the following books:

Diet for a New America by John Robbins
Mad Cowboy by Howard Lyman

Then you will have valid, supportive reasons for your vegetarian diet. Also, check out peta.org earthsave.org

I know you said you're a vegetarian but peta and earthsave will both give strong arguments for choosing a vegan diet. All of this info will help you when talking to your friends. Oh, one more tip; don't preach.

Just live your life. If you preach, people will be close-minded. I love to wear message shirts for shock value then wait for someone to start talking. I always have pleasant, non-confrontational conversations about my diet because I'm always in control and that's the way I want to present myself to non veggies. Remember, if you set a good example, people will follow. It's taken me years of mistakes to figure that out.

Peace,

Mark

Oh, if you can't afford to get either book then go to www.earthsave.org
You can read up on john robbins on his website. Also, Howard Lyman has a website link on the main page as does Robbins.
