Please don't consider being vegan "imposing your views" when a guest. I am very open about my veganism, and if asked point blank in a public situation when declining an offering, I tell it like it is - that I am a vegan. Most are accomodating, and if not, well, I'd rather go hungry til the next meal, or at least til I get home. -Carol
