Its not uncommon as a cycling injury. Make sure your bike fit is correct, there are guides and calculators online, just do a search for them. Work on your calf strength, I've read that having stronger calves helps minimize problems with the achilles tendon. Specifically exercises that concentrate on eccentric strength. Don't over do your training, training improvements should be gradual, don't leap into distances or times you aren't ready for but build up gradually. if you feel pain, stop and take some time off.
