Free oils are all fat. We don't need that. We need whole foods not extracts. And worse, they account for dangerous changes like cataracts and lens opacity. If you want the oil, eat the whole olive, not just the oil. You need what is in the olive to assimilate the oil properly. Fat makes you feel satieted, but not necessarily nourished. Research McDougall's site for vegetable oils and cataracts and other undesirable reactions. Read Fuhrman for the same advice. You need high nutrients and low calories/fats, not the other way around. When I was a carnivore, I was a weghtlifter and weighed 190 lbs on steak and animal protein. I am 6 ft. tall. I became a vegan. I lost weight. I wanted to get back to my old weight and got on lots of olive oil and peanut butter and rice and I lifted alot. I achieved 190 lbs. Big deal. My ego was happy but not my body. I lost the oils and fat and peanut butter (which has potential for aflatoxins = bad ) and dropped down to 170. I work out alot but feel better and am better thinner. Play now = pay later. I say lose the fat and listen to McDougall. Years from now you'll understand why. This from a vegan for 28 years who has been on both sides.
