I know this is a bit off topic but I thought it would be a good place to post this.
I've been going through a bit of turmoil at work (underappreciated, overworked, political environment etc.) which has turned me to spiritual teachings and yoga to try to deal with it.
It's been a hidden blessing because I feel as though I've been blind to my soul for a long time.
Which brings me to the relevant topic for this forum.
Do you exercise for the right reasons? Vanity? Wanting to "be the best" at something? I must admit that I have grown up with "A student syndrome" - a classic insecure overachiever!
It's SOOO hard to switch this off - but I realize now that I will crash if I don't...
The theory of Karma Yoga is that you perform your duty to your best ability, and accept the result as being out of your hands...is this too high a standard for weight training? I'd love to hear your thoughts.
