Does anyone know how common osteoporosis is among meat eating bodybuilders? Even though they consume large amounts of animal protein they are able to build strong muscles (and bones?) because of the weight lifting. Does the training balance out the high intake of animal protein?
Is there a site where I can read more about this?

Also I've read that as long as you consume large amounts of vegetables and fruits the low pH-value in meat is balanced out...any truth to this?

I am a vegan myself and I have no doubt this is the best diet for me, but it would be interesting to know about body building and osteoporosis since my brother is a convinced omnivore who thinks it's good for him to bulk up on animal protein...
