GOOD CNN NATIONAL MEDIA RUNS THIS.

Just saw show in Europe Monday 14:00.
About ten minutes from start "normal"
video was replaced with Clinton as
a young man. Audio was OK though.

BUT - MISSING RELEVANT IMAGES
WAS BAD FOR THE UNDERSTANDING.

ANY SOLUTION FOR SEEING IT ALL?
Would be good to offer a DVD.
Images do count. DUH. Agreed?

The usual "see your doctor"
is not very helpful advice.
Better would be words to
effect: "FIND a doctor"
(who understands topic).

Video problems should be resolved now.

Thank you for posting this! I don't have a TV so I wouldn't be able to see it otherwise. Unfortunately, this link doesn't seem to be working. It stopped playing halfway through. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks!

Should be working fine now, just re-load the page and then hit PLAY, then you can skip to where you left off.

Thanks so much for posting this. Is there a way to download it?

During the video, the Massai Tribe Diet was brought up, but was never discussed. I do not think they are vegans. I think they eat a diet of meat, including drinking milk and blood. What was the connection to the video?

user-pic

Why the vote down? I am merely asking a question. Why was the Massai tribe shown and no connection made to a vegan diet? I am not being critical of the program or the diet. I have been vegan for over 20 years. I would just like to know what the Massai tribe has to do with veganism or maybe I missed something in the video. Thank you

Jeff, thanks for the link. I've posted it on my blog so that as many people as possible can see The Last Heart Attack.

I think it's a great piece, but Dr. Agatston tried to suggest that coronary calcium scanning should be the "standard of care." I disagree with this, and I posted about it on my blog, veganheartdoc.com.

Thank you for posting this whole video on your site, Jeff & Sabrina. We very much appreciated watching it here in New Zealand. We will be informing our friends and no doubt many will be taking a look. I especially enjoyed the latter part of the programme, which was more information-based than personality based. It was great to learn about the size of the LDL particles - we're going to get that checked out next time we do our bloods!

Dr Gupta is a prince! A hero! Thank you Dr Gupta, for getting this long piece on the air!

Great video. Thoughtfully done and presented. Great coverage of the benefits of a vegan diet in an accessible format.

There is hope for American media if CNN can run a presentation such as this. A real challenge in a corporate controlled mass media! Let's hope a large percentage of the USA public sees this. Good ideas need repeating. A BIG plus of the show was the manner of Dr. Gupta. He is unlikely to turn off anyone by being strident. The evidence for a plant-based dietary is compelling. But facts alone - even offered in perfect logic - are often ignored if the presenter is not perceived as an unbiased likable "nice guy" such as Dr. Gupta.

He leaned over backwards to be fair to the advocates of heart surgery and allowed meat and dairy lobby folks to repeat their simple recycled misleading statements. Contrast messages of heart surgery proponents with that of Dr. Esselstyn. For anyone "reading between the lines" this show was a very wonderful summary. Let's spread the word!

The meat and dairy industry reps looked like idiots in their responses. Their animal products are not health foods.

Enjoyed the video immensely. Dr Esselstyn and Mr Clinton lived up to my expectations. Great stuff.

Ahhhh, the link isn't working!!!

I saw this last weekend and loved it. Was very excited to see the email from vegsource with a link for a promo clip and the full video link as I wanted to share it with friends. But neither link shows up for me, not sure what the prombem is unless it has to do with the device I'm using ( link doesn't show up on my iPhone or iPad ). Does anyone have a link to the full episode that'll work on an iPad? Thanks!!

I had the same trouble....I went to the CNN site and did a search for "The Last Heart Attack". Good luck!

Dr. Esselstyn called me to answer a question about whitecoat blood pressure. He is really great! I was so pleased to get to talk to him! The idea that he would take time to talk to me with his busy schedule was a real blessing! Rev. Mike Cowden

I have a question about the CNN interview. Perhaps I ought to address it to Dr Gupta too.

In the show, the point (as I recall it) was made that essentially no fat nor oil are to be ingested. However, in a later show, Dr Gupta said (paraphrasing him):
"We are what we eat and, in the case of our brain (that is mostly fat) this is especially true."

Can anyone comment on this. Did he mean to be telling us that we do need to eat fat? Perhaps I was only listening to what I wanted to hear!

What do we do about getting our omega3 oil?
