A school district in Sag Harbor, New York, recently decided it had to clean up its act and provide healthier, plant-strong alternatives.

What was the inciting event?

VegSource's own film, PROCESSED PEOPLE.

Bridgehampton Union Free School District is participating in a Winter Wellness Challenge, sponsored and facilitated by the East Hampton based not-for-profit Wellness Foundation.

Here's what The Sag Harbor Express wrote:

Organizing a group at Bridgehampton School to join this winter’s challenge was the brainchild of new superintendent Dr. Lois Favre, who was inspired after school nurse Elizabeth Alves showed her the DVD “Processed People,” which the Wellness Foundation screened at the school earlier this month in the evening for community members.

You can read the full article about the program at the Sag Harbor Express website.

The Wellness Foundation is founded by VegSource blogger, Dr. Pam Popper, who has outlets of her wonderful foundation in states around the country.

The film has had a very broad reach and is distributed by a variety of health and medical professionals.  Even doctors in the US Army have purchased wholesale quantities to distribute in bases around the world.
