On the day before he was killed, Martin Luther King Jr. called for a boycott of Coke and Wonder Bread, along with other products whose employment practices were unjust.
It's a small wonder King had to be taken out; it is very dangerous when someone with moral leadership and vision can awaken people, and inspire them to work together to put an end to injustice.
Imagine if someone like King came onto the scene today. Most likely, the same thing would happen to him...after being ripped apart by government, political, corporate and media sources.
On this anniversary of King's birthday, it's interesting to reflect what the US would be like had he been allowed to live.
