Paul McCartney spoke at the European Parliament's hearing on Global Warming and Food Policy promoting his Meat Free Mondays campaign which encourages people to try one meatless day per week.
McCartney, a long time vegetarian, believes that "less meat equal less heat" and the responsibility falls on both individuals and governments. He plans to attend next week's COP15 UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen where he will urge the world to reduce its meat consumption.
After speaking to the European Parliament, the former Beatle told Parliament Magazine that his late wife Linda "was - and remains - a great inspiration in the work I am trying to do now in promoting my campaign to encourage people to eat less meat." Read the whole story here.
