Have you signed up for Dr. McDougalls newsletter? It comes out once a month (last day of the month) and in it he talks about all sorts of different topics and then his wife gives a bunch of recipes at the end. In the newsletter archives there are all the recipes as well. One of the first things I did was scroll down the recipe board looking for recipes that people had posted that appealed to me. I am the only one in my family that eats this way all the time (my son eats meat about 1-2 a week). I particularly liked Ashley's Enchilada Bake. Try it!! I copied the recipes and then put them in a binder that is just McDougall recipes. It is very helpful then and fast to just go to that when I don't know what to make. Also, go to Marla's Marvelous Meals on the main board - she has done an amazing job of setting up a site where she gives pictures and the recipes she has concocted. I really like to do recipes when I can see what it will look like. Also fatfreevegan.com is a great site and has hundreds of recipes. Speaking of the main board, it is a great place to ask questions, read others questions and get immediate feedback to anything you may want to know. Everyone is so supportive.
So, good for you for taking charge of your families diets! Good luck with all of this. Post often so we can hear how you are doing. It is going to be a transition, and the weight won't come off by next month. Remember to exercise along with the diet. Maybe some family walks would be a great place to start. Take care, Linda :o)
