Hi everyone, I have been taking Zocor for 6 weeks and my blood test shows that it didn't help my cholesterol much. I've been having pain under my right rib on and off for several years now but with the Zocor it was worse and my stomach was burning, along with terrible sweating. I did a sonogram for my gallbladder and I don't have any stones. Since I wanted to change my medication, I went to my doc and found out that they had the result of my sonogram the whole time and forgot to call me about it.I had done it almost 2 weeks before. I found out there, by the nurse, that my liver is enlargered,so I started crying a bit because it scared me. When the doc came in, I told me(nicely) I didn't apreciate founding out that way because it's scary and I was hoping it wasn't cancer. He then told me, no way it's just probably fatty liver and I didn't need to be thinking the worse, THAT IT TOOK 20 MINUTES of HIS TIME!! I told him I felt better without the zocor and wanted another med like maybe Lipitor, but no he said. let's not give you anymore med for cholesterol, so I got out of there EMPTY HANDS, no follow up!!Exept more test on my gallbladder. I would have liked better if he told me, you can't think the worse because it's bad for your health , you blood pressure. No it took 20 minutes out of his time, which is not true either, and my sonogram was made 2 weeks ago, they got it the next day or so. Please pray for me because I don't know where to go from here! I feel like he stop treating me for my cholesterol but left me without nothing. I told him, I guess I really need to eat better and excercice he only agreed that it would be helpful.
