I know that we are very blessed to live where we do, though with all the scary stuff I've seen on global warming, we're thinkin' we'll have beachfront property in 50 years. Sometimes I think I'd move to a tiny rental place somewhere just to stay here. I can't ever imagine leaving. I've lived almost everywhere. And I'll take a hurricane that's so predictable you can evacuate usually with enough time over an unpredictable tornado or earthquake. Let me know if I can be of any more help. Lots of luck!
