Yes, it is a different experience to marry not in one's teens or twenties. I think the same adjustments must be made, of course. I met my DH when I was 38. I have the same reaction when he makes delightful barbequed corn-on-the-cob, which is fabulous from the grill, and he puts 1/4 C margarine on each ear. Yuck.
Yeah, the blogging thing, as near as I can tell, is an open diary. People blog on all sorts of topics, politics, elections, public policy, adoption, childrearing-you name it. I've even seen blogs on food and eating. Knitting is a very popular blog topic. We get to post photos of our work and see what other knitters are working on. I think the blog is a modern version of the personal essay. And you can publish it daily or more often if you wish to.
I'm certainly enjoying myself.
Here are, imho, the top two very popular knitting bloggers:
www.yarnharlot.ca
www.masondixonknitting.com
These folks have also written books more or less related to their blogs.
Best of luck to you and your DH. Did you see that Dr. McDougall is having a sale on the DVDs? We might need to acquire those for our household.
